The Saviour Jesus Matriculation School was founded by Late P.Rebecca Magdalin, B.Sc., B.Ed., in 1983 and was developed into a fully fledged Matriculation School by Saviour Jesus Educational and Social Uplift Association in the year 1988 with the objectives of training children for a better living through a well balanced education.
The programme of this school is founded on the philosophy.

The School is being run by Peter and Lizzie Educational Memorial Trust. This is a non-profit registered Body with a board of governors consisting of eminent educationists and social workers.

Bharathanatiyam - is a part of the student’s timetable from KG to Grade IX. Children are prepared for bharathanatiya arangatram.
Music - is a part of the student’s timetable from Grade I to Grade IX. (Instruments like keyboard and guitar and vocals)
Abacus - is a part of the student’s timetable from Grade I to Grade IX. Children are prepared to participate in various state level and national level abacus competitions. Children are prepared for easy way of Mathematics and mental concentration.
Art - The Arts Program at SJMS starts with the youngest student in Kindergarten and seeks to awaken the child's creativity and self-expression by exposing the pupil to all the various art forms, whether it is in the various forms of paintings or performing on stage.
Literary club, Dramatic club, Nature-lovers club, Arts Club, Science club, math club are organized among the children to cater for the development of all round personality in every child.
